In pre-COVID times the month of November is when we would have held our PASR Delaware County Chapter Celebration of Service Luncheon but as with many events in 2020 we had to cancel. Even with the cancellation we did not want to forget to recognize the efforts of members giving of their time to our Chapter. A very special PASR award is the John J. Dillon Service Award.
The 2020 John J. Dillon Service Award was given to Henry “Hank” Field for his efforts as a team leader of our Membership Committee. Hank our Membership Directory Coordinator works closely with PASR to keep our Chapter database current. He supplies the addresses needed for our Chapter’s membership mailings and outreach campaigns to promote membership in PASR. Hank produces a membership report to be part of the minutes of our Chapter Business and Planning meetings.
Hank also works closely with our Social Services Memorial Honor Fund (SSMHF) Chair to produce our necrology list which is submitted as part of the SSMHF report and shared with our members in our Chapter newsletter and at our luncheon events. Speaking of your luncheon events and newsletter Hank prepares the mailing labels that are used by the printer to mail out the newsletter and event invitations.
A few years ago Hank relocated out of Pennsylvania to New Jersey but he remained an integral part of our Delaware County Chapter services and continues to support the mission of PASR. We truly appreciate his organizational and data management skills in keeping our Chapter current and informed.
