The Educational Support Committee supports public education, which includes:

Developing and supporting programs that promote improvements in public education for the citizens of Pennsylvania.
Encouraging and supporting students seeking careers in public education.
Promoting the positive accomplishments of Pennsylvania's public schools and the outstanding service provided by individuals employed in public schools.

Each spring our Chapter holds an awards luncheon to recognize Delaware County schools, public school employees, selected winners from the Delaware County Science Fair and students seeking a career in public education. The awards are the Dr. Lauretta Woodson Recognition Awards, the Educational Grant Awards, Delaware County Science Fair winners in four categories, and the Educational Support Scholarship and awrds - Dr. Lauretta Woodson Scholarship, Frank Monaghan Award and Caroline & Joseph Fedena Vo-Tech Award.
The Educational Grant and Dr. Lauretta Woodson School District Awards are given to selected school districts within Delaware County on a rotating basis.
