PASR educational support grants
A primary goal of PASR is the support of public education. To help meet this goal all chapters have established an annual program providing “Educational Support Grants” in their respective areas.
The PASR “Educational Support Grants” are offered to three school districts on a rotating basis. These grants consist of monetary awards given to educators and/or other public school employees. The funds are to be used to help finance special programs, activities, equipment, material or supplies which will enhance or improve the educational experience of their students. The request should be one not currently supported by their district's budget.
In addition the Frank Monaghan Grant, named in honor of reading specialist Frank Monaghan is given to one school district on a rotating basis. This grant is open to any reading teacher/specialist to fund any program, equipment or material which will enhance or improve the educational experience of their students. The request should be one not currently supported by their district's budget.
Each spring our Chapter holds an awards luncheon to recognize Delaware County schools, public school employees, and the selected awardees.
