Educational Support Scholarship Award Application Process
Our Chapter is seeking applications from seniors enrolled in public secondary schools within Delaware County who have expressed a desire to enter a profession/career within the public school system.
Should you plan to graduate at the end of the current school year, we urge you to read the application carefully, complete all the necessary requirements, and file the application before the deadline of March 27. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
Two $5,000 awards, each known as the Dr. Lauretta Woodson Scholarships and one $1,000 Frank Monaghan Scholarship will be presented to students selected by the Awards Committee. If you are selected for the award, you will be expected to attend our Spring Luncheon in early May as our guest.
NOTE: Unfortunately, both some financial constraints and the havoc wrecked by COVID 19 on the normal school year, prevent us from offering either the Lauretta Woodson or Frank Monaghan scholarships for 2020-2021 school year. We will most certainly be revisiting this decision for the 2021-22 school year in hopes that we can continue to support outstanding graduating seniors who have expressed a desire to enter a profession/career within the public school system.
